21st June...Dad's birthday

we got home around 11pm and mom went to bed.

dad was watching World Cup on telly

while i was on Facebook-killing time.

when the clock struck 00:00

i greeted dad...

"happy birthday daddy!!!" i said in a wee bit too chirpy tone..

dad did not respond to the greeting.

his eyes were literally glued to the box...

he doesn't even flinch! lol.

oh, the wonders of football! 

i gave him his present and went to bed.

the morning itself was plain as usual.

normal routines for dad and mom...

just that this time, i did all the driving.

(yay!!!)

and for dad's birthday...i did something that i haven't done since 2003.

i played b.a.d.m.i.n.t.o.n.

yes, badminton...havent touched it in 7 years! (my fav number.lol.)

before we head out for the game, i told dad to open his present.

and he did...

(i bought him two armbands)

dad was happy when he opened it...i was on Facebook...

dad stood next to me and smiled. SHYLY...

"Ern. thank you."

and he leaned  forward ...and i stared at him.blanky.

it took me a spilt second to realize then,

dad was waiting for me to give him a kiss on the cheek!

and i did..."love you daddy." i grinned after that.

oh ,i have the cutest daddy ever! lol.

and i thought he wanted to give me a kiss instead cuz he loved the prezzie...

haha...but that's that.

i am thankful to have daddy and he's such a funny one.
